What data does GeekFlight collect?

None. GeekFlight does not collect, store, transmit or share any personal information. There is no account system, no login, and no registration required.

The app reads your phone's sensors — gyroscope, accelerometer, barometer, compass and GPS — in real time to calculate the readings displayed on screen. This sensor data is processed entirely on your device and is never recorded or transmitted anywhere.

What is stored on my device?

GeekFlight saves a small amount of data to your phone's local storage. This includes:

App settings — sensor calibration values, display preferences, and configuration choices you make in the settings screen. These are stored using Android's standard local storage mechanism and never leave your device.

Game progress — your scores and progress in Word Bank, Times Tables and Morse Code are saved locally so they persist between sessions. This data is stored on your device only and is not backed up to any server.

All locally stored data is removed if you uninstall the app.

Does GeekFlight use the internet?

No. GeekFlight is designed to work entirely offline. The app makes no network connections and functions fully in aeroplane mode. There are no servers, no cloud sync, and no external APIs.

GPS is used to determine your position and speed — this uses your device's GPS hardware only. It does not communicate with any external service.

Third-party SDKs and analytics

None. GeekFlight contains no third-party analytics libraries, advertising SDKs, crash reporters or tracking frameworks. There is no Google Analytics, Firebase, Facebook SDK, or equivalent.

The app is built with Apache Cordova (an open-source framework) and uses only standard Android platform APIs. No third-party data collection occurs at any point.

Location / GPS permission

GeekFlight requests location permission to access GPS data. This is used solely to display your current speed, altitude and flight route progress within the app. Your location is never stored beyond the current session, never transmitted off-device, and never shared with any third party.

You can revoke this permission at any time in Settings → Apps → GeekFlight → Permissions. The app will continue to work without GPS, but speed and route tracking will be unavailable.

Children's privacy

Because GeekFlight collects no data from anyone, there is no special handling required for users under 13. The app is safe for all ages.

Changes to this policy

If this privacy policy ever changes, the updated version will be published here. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the date of any changes.

Given that GeekFlight collects no data, changes to this policy are expected to be rare.
